Korean-style glass noodles from Nongshim are made from sweet potato starch (dangmyeon), when freshly cooked they become glass-like, translucent and super bouncy. Compared to glass noodles made from mung beans, sweet potato glass noodles are thicker and chewier.
Sweet potato glass noodles are a versatile ingredient in Korean and northern Chinese cooking. The most well-known dish made with them must be Japchae (stir-fry Korean glass noodles), apart from which, can also be used in stews, soups, dumpling fillings and hot pots.
